Italian speed skater Francesca Lollobrigida won her second gold medal of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in the women's 5,000 metres on Thursday.
Lollobrigida clocked 6min 46.17sec with Dutchwoman Merel Conijn taking silver at 0.10sec and Norwegian Ragne Wiklund third at 0.17sec.
Lollobrigida, 35, had already smashed the Olympic record on her way to gold in the women's 3,000 metres event at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium.
Lollobrigida, who is distantly related to the late Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida, had previously won a silver and a bronze medal at the 2022 Beijing Games.
Italy now have six golds in their home Olympics for a total of 15 medals so far to put them second in the medals table behind Norway.
